Australian restaurants have raised over $80,000 in the Bread for Good campaign for East Africa.
The inaugural campaign wrapped up on Monday October 31, after six weeks of fundraising to help children impacted by the
East Africa humanitarian crisis.
About 270 restaurants across NSW and Victoria took part in the effort, which asked diners to donate $2 or more when they ordered bread with their meals.
After the success of this year’s campaign, UNICEF is seeking expressions of interest from restaurants that might like to take part in Bread for Good 2012.
