Thank you

Tens of thousands of lives have been saved in East Africa thanks to the generosity of our supporters.

We’ve helped fight the effects of the devastating drought and food crisis by delivering thousands of tonnes of life-saving supplies, treating more than 140,000 severely malnourished children, giving measles vaccinations to more than 1.2 million children and providing access to safe water for more than 2.2 million people.

UNICEF Australia’s CEO Norman Gillespie recently visited Kenya to witness the impact your donations have made. Click below to see his video report.

Great to see the actions that are being taken to help in this drought situation in East Africa. Thank you Norman for bringing it to the attention of Australians. Video is the best way to see how our donations are being used to help. All the best for Christmas! - David

Jeremy
I seen in the video that people were being finger-printed. What is the purpose of doing that?

The children are our future. One day you may owe your life to one of these children who may become a doctor, nurse, or whatever profession they may choose. It's up to us in the present to help those in their present. Blessings

Hi Jeremy,

Fingerprints are used in the same way a signature is used in Australia.

The women in the camp are ‘signing’ for the receipt of their food vouchers.

Thanks,
UNICEF Australia
