UNICEF, together with partner organisations, distribute pre-packaged, life-saving supplies to displaced families on the move.
Children displaced by ongoing violence stand next to a rapid response emergency kit in the doorway of their informal shelter in Iraq.
Since the first wave of internal displacement in Iraq in July 2014, the UNICEF and partners have reached more than two million people – nearly half of whom are children – with life-saving supplies.
In May 2016, UNICEF distributed 9,200 kits. The displaced families who benefited from the distribution were those in critical shelter arrangements such as informal camps, unfinished buildings, and school buildings.
