Severe flooding spreads across Southeast Asia
Devastating floods have swept across Southeast Asia – from Sri Lanka and Thailand to Vietnam and Indonesia – bringing record rainfall, landslides, and flash floods that have taken lives and displaced thousands. Across the region, critical infrastructure has been damaged, and essential services like healthcare, education, and child protection are severely disrupted. Children are among the most vulnerable, facing heightened risks to their health, safety, and wellbeing.
UNICEF is working alongside local partners to deliver urgent support, but we need your help to make sure every child affected can be reached.
Since World War II, children’s needs have never been greater. Together, we can help children survive.
This holiday season, millions of children’s futures are at stake due to a series of cascading crises, from conflict and displacement to deadly disease outbreaks, famine conditions and climate disasters. In places like Gaza, Sudan, Ukraine, and Afghanistan, the need for support has never been greater and a growing disregard for children’s rights risk reversing decades of progress for children around the world.

5 million children
Over 5 million children in Sudan have been forced to flee their homes – a staggering average of 10,000 girls and boys displaced every single day – making it the world's largest child displacement crisis.
We can’t stop emergencies from happening, but we can reach more children with critical and lifesaving support. Thanks to the generosity of people like you, UNICEF has helped save more children's lives than any other organisation around the world. We operate the world’s largest humanitarian warehouse, and your donation allows us to deliver safe drinking water and therapeutic food to children in as little as 48 hours after an emergency or disaster strike and stay on the ground as long as it takes to recover. Together, we can deliver fast, fearless, lifesaving support for every child. No matter what.
"Fearless deliveries are about the quiet bravery of our UNICEF teams and local partners, who risk their own safety because they know what’s at stake: the life and future of children."

Your generous gift today can help deliver therapeutic food and safe drinking water directly into the hands of children and their families, before it's too late.

"We were displaced to the south of Gaza at the beginning of the war. When Tala was four months old, she developed malnutrition, and I followed up on her case there, and she improved at that time. But after returning to the north and after the ceasefire ended, her health condition worsened again. I am here now for follow-up and to receive nutrition supplements."
After more than two years of relentless bombardment, displacement, and severe restrictions on humanitarian aid, children in Gaza are starving to death. Half a million people are enduring famine, and the entire population of children under five – over 320,000 children – are now at risk of acute malnutrition. Since the start of 2025, there has been more than a 500 per cent increase in malnutrition cases, and the situation is only getting worse as the conflict drags on. For children like one-year-old Tala, their lives are under threat before they have even begun.
Despite the ongoing challenges, UNICEF teams remain on the ground in Gaza, distributing essential supplies including ready‑to‑use therapeutic food, clean water and vital healthcare to children like Tala. But we need your help to reach more children in need in places like Gaza and beyond.
Together, we can quickly and fearlessly deliver lifesaving supplies that protect children’s health, safety and futures.
