Today, over 9.6 million children in Pakistan need humanitarian assistance, including 3.5 million children suffering from severe acute malnutrition.
Children and their families are still recovering from the long-term impacts of the devastating floods of 2022 that left a third of the country underwater and over 1,700 lives lost. Compounded by Pakistan’s many complex challenges and the high risk of climate-driven disasters, many children in Pakistan are in urgent need of nutrition, healthcare, education and clean, safe water.
By donating today, you’ll be helping UNICEF deliver life-saving supplies to support the needs of children and their families affected by the ongoing crisis.

Accessing urgent healthcare in the most remote places
Located in a village that was only accessible via boats that lacked safety equipment, two-year-old Azaan and his family had been disconnected from the world due to the devastating floods that ravaged Pakistan in 2022.
Azaan was among the hundreds of thousands of children at high risk of stunting due to suffering from severe acute malnutrition (SAM). With Pakistan’s already stretched health system heavily impacted by the floods, accessing the help he needed was difficult.
UNICEF activated dozens of mobile health centres that provided health, nutrition and other services to the most isolated to treat health conditions like SAM, malaria and diarrhoea. At one of these UNICEF-supported mobile health centres, Azaan was treated for SAM with ready-to-use therapeutic food (RUTF).
“He was late in walking, but after taking the sachets (RUTF), he had the energy to walk,” says Azaan’s mother, Reshma.
Today, over 3.5 million children in Pakistan continue to be impacted by severe acute malnutrition. We need your help more than ever. Help us continue to provide the care and support these children and their families need.
Long after emergencies fade from the headlines, UNICEF is there for children.
Alongside our partners, UNICEF works with families, communities and local organisations in more than 190 countries to protect and advocate for children and young people.
Your donations help us send emergency relief and plan long-term programs, which allows us to work in changing contexts. That means we can achieve the most impact for children and deliver lasting results.
