Stay for children in crisis

Crises come in many forms – wars, floods, hunger, drought, earthquakes – but they all have one thing in common: a devastating impact on children’s lives.

Children are enduring ongoing crises in places like Yemen, Gaza, Sudan, Afghanistan, Ukraine, Syria, South Sudan, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Haiti, and so many more.

Many of the children living in these unfolding crises have nowhere to call home, no food to eat, no school to attend and no doctor to turn to when sick. This is their harsh reality.

When the media headlines move on, the cameras stop rolling, and the world turns its attention elsewhere, these children continue to live in crisis. UNICEF stays to deliver lifesaving supplies, services, and care that these children desperately need.

Will you stay for children in crises?

By becoming a regular donor you’re helping to provide vital healthcare, vaccinations education, and support to keep children safe and help them recover. You can bring smiles and hope!

When you stay, you’re supporting our work with children in crisis.

In Gaza, an eight-year-old girl was playing cards with friends in her home when a neighbouring house was shelled. She suffered severe injuries, losing her foot and her hand. Lying in her bed at the hospital with her aunt, the young girl talks about her dream to one day become a journalist.

How will my donation help children in need?

Your donations are the lifeline for our work. With your help, we can respond immediately at the onset of a crisis, anywhere and everywhere. Your regular donations will help provide urgent relief like medical supplies, clean water, and lifesaving nutrition but also allow us to plan and deliver ongoing support to help rebuild shattered lives.

  • $90 could help provide 18,000 water purification tablets, each able to create up to five litres of clean drinking water.
  • $133 could help provide 253 sachets of Plumpy’Nut®, a therapeutic peanut paste, to help save the lives of two children with malnutrition.
  • $311 could help provide a School-in-a-Box so 40 children can continue their education.
