Make an Impact

Right now, millions of children’s lives are under threat from an increasingly dangerous world. From the Middle East to the Pacific, political instability, conflict, disasters and poverty are taking a huge toll on the lives of children and families.

Your generous gift will help our team deliver lifesaving support to children and families from the moment a crisis strikes to long after an emergency has left the headlines.

When war breaks out or disaster strikes, the chaos and insecurity that follows leaves children in significant danger. During emergencies, children often lose their homes, their schools, and their loved ones. It becomes difficult to access food, clean water, and health care, and many children are left vulnerable to abuse and exploitation.

With the support of people like you, UNICEF works around the clock to be there for children as soon as emergencies strike, from violent conflicts in places like Gaza, Sudan and Ukraine, or natural disasters like the devastating 2025 earthquakes in Myanmar. Our teams are on the ground, delivering lifesaving supplies including therapeutic food, clean water and vaccinations to children and families in as little as 48 hours.

After emergencies fade from the headlines, we continue to be there for every child, rebuilding lives and communities by supporting long-term development programs and advocating for the rights and wellbeing of children and young people.

But we can’t do this alone. We urgently need your help today so that we can continue to reach every child in need, no matter what.

200 million

UNICEF estimates that more than 200 million children in 133 countries and territories will require urgent humanitarian assistance in 2026.

1 in 5

More than 417 million children in low- and middle-income countries – or one in five – are severely deprived in at least two areas crucial for their health, development and wellbeing.

Like most families in the Gaza Strip, Maysaa (pictured) and her five children are displaced and have lost everything. Living in makeshift tents during the freezing winter months, children are more at risk of developing malnutrition and preventable diseases.

"I live with my family in a tent on the side of the road. The morning was heartbreaking. Rainwater flooded the tent, soaking our clothes and mattresses. I couldn’t do anything. My children were crying from the cold as the water drenched them."
