Whether it’s the devastating earthquakes in Türkiye and Syria, the war in Ukraine, or the severe food crisis in Somalia, UNICEF is on the ground working in emergency zones around the world, providing for children in urgent need of help.

When an emergency strikes, the chaos and insecurity that follows leaves children and their families at high risk. They may lose their home, their school and often their loved ones. Children's access to food, water and health care can be affected, and many children are left vulnerable to abuse and exploitation.

"Anything that we can do to help the most vulnerable children in the world is so important, and becoming a Global Parent is a great way to do that."

Every day, UNICEF is on the ground working alongside our partners in over 190 countries to always be there for children in need. From emergencies to long-term development work, with the help of our monthly donors, UNICEF is making a positive difference in the lives of children, saving more lives than any other charity in the world.

"Like with this terrible earthquake in Türkiye, in Syria, you can see each night the rubble, the devastation, the people being pulled out. And almost inevitably, somewhere in that shot, you'll see somebody wearing the blue of UNICEF."
