Family philanthropy is a powerful way to bring your family together around shared values while making a lasting difference in the world.
When you give as a family, you create a legacy of compassion and responsibility - one that can inspire and guide future generations.
Witnessing the impact of your contributions firsthand can be deeply transformative, giving every family member a sense of purpose and fulfillment. Through UNICEF, family philanthropy offers unique opportunities to involve loved ones of all ages in meaningful ways. By shaping your giving strategy together, you not only strengthen family bonds but also pass on core values to the next generation.
In the face of today’s global challenges - from climate change and pandemics to inequality - your family’s philanthropy can be a true catalyst for change, advancing children’s rights around the world.
Your family philanthropy journey
Your philanthropy manager will work closely with you to shape a personalised giving journey for your family, which may include some of the following offerings:

Family program visits
Family philanthropy partners have had the opportunity to join our teams on program visits, depending on the nature and level of their support. These visits often include a program masterclass which is a deep dive into how we partner with local communities on programming, covering key topics such as joint decision-making, audit and risk processes, and monitoring and evaluation. We can also tailor bespoke program visits for family members aged 10 and above with their UNICEF relationship manager.
Family Day at Innocenti
UNICEF’s Office of Research and Foresight in Florence hosts a series of workshops in a beautiful heritage building that has been a place of support for vulnerable children and women for the past 600 years.
Supply Division tours
Families are offered tours or workshops at UNICEF’s Supply Division in Copenhagen, the world's largest humanitarian warehouse. Gifted by the Danish government, this state-of-the-art facility operates around the clock and is nearly fully automated featuring advanced robotics.

Family philanthropy with the Packers
Erica Packer has been a UNICEF Australia Ambassador since 2008. She has also invested in UNICEF-funded early childhood programs in the Asia Pacific region, focusing her philanthropy on childhood development and health.
In 2024, Erica and her teenage son Jackson visited a UNICEF Play and Learning Hub in Moldova, where they spent time with Ukrainian refugee children, and they visited the UNICEF Supply Division in Copenhagen, Denmark - the world's largest humanitarian warehouse.
"I'm just in awe of the UNICEF team, they are so lovely, and it feels like a family. You truly get a sense that everyone's on the same team and working towards the same goals. No matter where they are based, they are all coming together to build a better future for children everywhere."
