UNICEF Australia’s philanthropy managers work closely with wealth advisers to align clients values and goals with the right programs – offering targeted insights and information, curated opportunities and bespoke proposals.

With UNICEF’s global expertise and strong local partnerships, we make it easy to explore credible options and co-design meaningful approaches. This ensures you can advise with confidence while helping deliver lasting change for children.

We don’t just deliver programs - we build ecosystems.

We have a strong local presence with a global reach - working alongside our network of trusted partners on the ground to ensure our expertise stays rooted in local communities.

Seventy per cent of our staff are national to the countries we work, enabling us to adapt programs to local cultures and contexts. At the same time, our international staff bring additional knowledge and expertise from around the world, ensuring children benefit from proven solutions and successes in other countries.

From communities to governments, we take a systems strengthening approach. To achieve sustainable change, we partner with local governments to build environments that uphold and protect children’s rights. We advise on issues such as child survival, education and child protection and we pilot projects before supporting governments to scale them. This ensures our work is both impactful and sustainable.

We use data to guide our decisions to ensure our programs are evidenced-based. By measuring results and understanding where change is – or isn’t - happening, allows us to continually refine our programs to deliver the greatest impact for children.

Measuring impact

“How do you know it works?” Is the most important question a philanthropist can ask.

At UNICEF, we answer it with evidence through rigorous monitoring, independent evaluations, and long-term impact tracking. Our results aren’t assumptions, they’re proven. When you invest with us, you can expect transparency, clear reporting, and honest conversations about what’s working and what we’re learning along the way.

Our work in emergencies

Around the world, millions of children are being denied their basic rights because of a broad array of interconnected crises – from conflict and the consequences of climate change to health emergencies and rising poverty. These children are the future and need to know that we believe in them, so they are motivated to believe in a better tomorrow.

Whether it’s the devastation of war and displacement in places like Gaza and Ukraine, or the malnutrition crisis in Sudan, UNICEF and its local partners know how to reach the most vulnerable children, delivering lifesaving support through emergency relief, healthcare, nutrition education and protection.

Silent emergencies

The world is experiencing an unprecedented number of emergencies. Yet many, such as those in Haiti, Chad or Bangladesh, rarely make international headlines, leaving them critically underfunded.

Children and vulnerable communities caught in these silent emergencies often don't have their basic needs met. They may lack access to healthcare, lifesaving vaccines and nutrition, clean water, education and child protection services.

Bringing these emergencies into the spotlight helps children and their communities receive the support they need as the crisis unfolds, and the resources, skillsets and resilience to recover and rebuild.
