The power of partnerships at UNGA 2025

The United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) Faith Leaders Convening 2025 brought together UNICEF’s faith-based partners to discuss the humanitarian context for children and the vital role of faith leaders in advocacy.

Held on the International Day of Peace (22 September), the roundtable focused on “Moral Courage in a Time of Crisis for Children,” highlighting the power of partnerships and shared values such as compassion, dignity, and hope. The UNICEF Faith Leadership Circle serves as a global platform to align on strategic priorities and co-create impactful responses for the world’s children, building on decades of collaboration with faith communities, including Islamic Relief Australia.

As Reverend Bill Crews, UNICEF Global Faith Circle Envoy, stated, “Children keep hope alive in the hardest moments. Our shared task is to match their courage with protection, resources and a louder voice for their rights.”
