What is it?
UNICEF Australia offers a competitive internship program, giving interns a chance to work alongside some of Australia's best not-for-profit professionals, grow their skills and gain extensive experience with one of the world's leading international organisations.
Internships are available in the following departments:
UNICEF Australia is currently not running internships in our Advocacy or Digital departments. If interships in these departments re-open, this webpage will be updated with the relevant details and position description.
Who can apply?
UNICEF Australia's internship program is open to all qualified university or TAFE students and graduates.
Successful applicants will intern in our Communications & Social Media Department for three months. The internships will be unpaid and require a minimum of two days per week in UNICEF Australia's office in Sydney, NSW.
Each internship role will vary depending on the skills of the intern and current projects being undertaken by UNICEF Australia. Applicants should be flexible and be prepared to work in areas in which they have had no previous experience or expertise.
When are the internships?
UNICEF Australia offers three intakes every year for internships.
2015 internship intake details:
Intake 1 Digital Marketing & Communications: January 12, 2015, to March 27, 2015.
Intake 1 applications open November 17, 2014, and close December 12, 2014. Please do not send applications outside of these times. They will not be accepted, or admitted for review.
Intake 2 Communications: April 6, 2015, to June 26, 2015.
Intake 2 applications open February 9, 2015, and close March 6, 2015. Please do not send applications outside of these times. They will not be accepted, or admitted for review.
Intake 3 Digital Marketing & Communications: July 6, 2015, to September 25, 2015.
Intake 3 applications open May 11, 2015, and close June 5, 2015. Please do not send applications outside of these times. They will not be accepted, or admitted for review.
UNICEF Australia regrets we are unable to accept internships outside of these periods. Please do not send applications outside of the advertised intake times.
