Director of Finance, Gregg Ruff
As Director of Finance for UNICEF Australia, Gregg Ruff optimises the organisation’s financial performance by providing strategic insights and delivering efficient, sustainable financial operations.
With both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in economics from the University of Cambridge, Gregg joined UNICEF Australia in 2013 as an Assistant Accountant. Within six months, he was promoted to Management Accountant, and later to Associate Director of Finance. In these roles, he led the finance team through significant periods of change, implementing governance frameworks, systems, and processes that improved efficiency and strengthened the organisation’s financial sustainability.
Promoted to Director of Finance in early 2023, Gregg now leads a multidisciplinary team of finance, business solutions, and legal professionals. He oversees financial accounting, planning, and analysis, while also managing governance, risk, and legal compliance.
Earlier in his career, Gregg worked as an auditor at PwC in London, specialising in the not-for-profit sector, before moving to Australia. His experience, coupled with volunteering in the finance department of a non-profit in South Africa, sparked his passion for the sector and strengthened his commitment to making a positive impact.
