Ongoing conflicts in Syria, Yemen and Afghanistan have endangered children’s lives. And with a harsh winter approaching, they need help now more than ever.
Help reach children in conflict with
life-saving theraputic food
In Afghanistan, the dire economic situation and food insecurity is pushing families further into poverty. Half of the country's children under five are expected to suffer from severe acute malnutrition, and 1 million are at risk of dying without immediate treatment.
Although millions of children have been reached by UNICEF’s fearless delivery service, many more are still waiting. UNICEF has 75 years of experience delivering life-saving supplies in more than 190 countries. In Afghanistan, our teams have a presence in every region and we will stay and deliver for children, no matter what.
But we can't do it alone. By becoming a Global Parent, and starting to donate every month, you can help shape a better future for a child.
For just $30 a month, you could help to send life-saving therapeutic food to
children in need.
1st donation taken immediately, then 15th of each month. Cancel anytime.

Malika is one of 14 million people now facing acute food insecurity in Afghanistan. Her family fled their home due to the recent conflict and found safety in the west of Afghanistan.
As the only breadwinner of her family, Malika earns just $0.5 per kilogram by weaving yarn from fleece. Her daughter Parwana is suffering from severe acute malnutrition because they cannot afford enough food.

Now, with the country’s bitter winter months ahead, children face yet another risk to their wellbeing.
Temperatures can fall as low as -12.1°C, but too many children lack adequate clothing to keep them warm and dry, and live in shelters that do not protect against the cold, wind and rain.

22.4 million children and women received essential health care services.
34 million more people accessed safe water.
More than 110 million children accessed education, including early learning.
2.4 million children treated for severe acute malnutrition.
We still need more Global Parents to help fearlessly deliver UNICEF boxes of life-saving supplies.
