Giving the World a Shot with Intrepid Travel
In August 2021, Intrepid Travel, the world’s largest adventure travel company, joined forces with UNICEF Australia to step up advocacy on global vaccinations with on-the-ground support in remote communities and a $100,000 donation from its Foundation to UNICEF Australia.
Through the Intrepid Foundation, the company has now raised more than $150,000 for UNICEF Australia to support universal access to COVID-19 vaccines. Meanwhile, its teams around the world are working to provide easier access to COVID-19 vaccines in remote communities and educating staff to help resolve vaccine hesitancy.
Intrepid is also a member of the COVID Vaccination Alliance of UNICEF Australia.
Qantas: long term commitment to children
What does one do with all that spare change in a different currency after a well-spent holiday or a business trip abroad? Why not donate it to a good cause! This was the thinking that launched Change for Good.
In 1991, Qantas joined forces with UNICEF to take part in the Change for Good® (CFG) program, an innovative partnership between UNICEF and the international airline industry. For over 30 years, we’ve partnered to convert coins, notes, Frequent Flyer points and direct donations into life-saving materials and services for the world’s most vulnerable children. CFG is one of UNICEF's best-known and longest-running programs.
Qantas customers have raised over AUD 37 million with the program raising over USD 184 million worldwide.
